This internship exceeded expectations by far. Being asked my second week on the job to go on an overnight field review in Panama City was another amazing opportunity. Then, being invited to the lunch and learns with ASHE and WTS was an amazing opportunity. Finally, the construction site visit was the cherry to top the summer. You taught me so many software applications and skills this summer, which is amazing. Also, the company culture is welcoming and inclusive. You really care about developing our personal and professional skills. It is a tight knit company with lots of talented and experienced people to learn from.

My expectations were definitely met with this internship. Entering into the summer, I hoped for an experience where I would be learning and able to ask questions throughout the summer, continuing to grow in my engineering skillset. I did not want to simply be trained for a few specific tasks and remain within that realm for the remainder of my time. I can definitely say that I was always experiencing new things throughout this internship, which not only kept it exciting for me but also demonstrated the investment being made into me by this firm.

I really liked my summer internship, I got to learn new engineering computer programs such as ArcGIS and ORD. I learned how to do hydronetworks and create topovoids. My favorite experience was going to a construction site and seeing how what we do in the office relates to what goes on in construction.

I learned how to use programs that are new to me. I got extensive use with Microstation SS10 and GIS, in addition to exposure with ORD. I got to go on several field trips and lunch events where I got to see different aspects of the engineering world. Also, the company culture is very fun and welcoming. All of my coworkers while I was here were very helpful at all times. Everyone is very nice and easy to talk to. Additionally, the people in authority positions had many fun events planned for us interns, including frequent company lunches and the TBG Summer Daze party.
